Vintage Memotech MTX 512 computer *** Rare ***
For collectors of vintage computer hardware: a
Memotech MTX512 computer from c.1983. Boots to the
"Ready" prompt, all keys work, memory check confirms
64KB. (See 2nd photo).
The box includes: - MTX
base unit / keyboard - Power supply - Audio and
video cables - 4 audio cassettes - Manual
The
case is in very good condition for its age - some
tiny scratches on the end plates but otherwise very
clean. The polystyrene packaging has a chunk missing
but protects the contents just fine. Likewise the
outer cardboard box is a little scruffy but still
does its job of holding the packaging together.

Memotech MTX512
I have had this for a number
of years now, sadly most of the time in storage. I
now need to rationalise my vintage computer
collection, down to the chosen few! Here we have
my Memotech MTX 512, which comes in the original
poly case with PSU and manual. I have only tested
it with the BNC composite video output, as I could
not tune into the modulator output on this modern TV
and my old CRT TV just stopped working! As it has
been stored for so long it has the classic condition
of some of the keyboard keys sticking and not
responding. Therefore, the keyboard will need a
good cleaning, but as it uses the same key switches
as the Acorn Master, which are good quality units,
then it should be perfectly serviceable. It has had
a basic power up test and been left on for a while.

The keyboard is simply a
MEMOTECH MTX 512 which was taken off the motherboard
and included in the business / 2 houses with a
floppy interface (see FDX) and a 80-column card. The
other on the left there is 'a board that does not
know what it's there' an internal flat connector but
do not understand where it needs to be connected ...
It turns on and requires an operating system but I
have not diskettes It is a model that seems to have
been marketed I have not seen another model in Italy
so I assume it is a model produced in ITALY

SUPER RARE VINTAGE MEMOTECH MTX 512 Computer in Near
MINT Condition Inc 3 games
Memotech MTX 512.
Includes all items as seen in the photo. 3 Games -
Kilopede, Draughts and Toado. Demo tape,
headcleaner and blank cassette. It powers up and
displays the "Ready" script and a flashing cursor.
Beyond that I do not know. Cant remember how to
operate it and I have no tape cassette player to
load and test the games. I bought this computer in
the mid 80's. Has been in the loft for years. I am
moving house and it's time for Mr Memotech to find a
new home too.

Memotech MTX512 Vintage Computer Faulty
Rare
Memotech MTX512 vintage computer from 1980. The
computer has a mechanical keyboard and a nice black
aluminum case. there are some minor scratches/marks
but is in good overall cosmetic condition for year.
Computer powers up and tunes into a UHF TV( see
photo), but displays random code or sometimes a
tuned blank screen, also there is no response from
keyboard. I am not sure of the RAM size, but it is
either 32KB or 64KB Comes with power supply/adapter
& UHF cable. It does not come with the CRT TV shown
in photo. Computer sold as is.
