The BBC Microcomputer System (BBC Micro)

BBC Micro Software

Probably the most common "software" for the BBC Micro is the ubiquitous BBC BASIC, strictly speaking, being supplied on a ROM, it is firmware, rather than software but you get the idea. Originally written by Roger Wilson of Acorn and later ported to the Z80 by Richard Russell. The complete history of the language is described on Richard's history page. The language is also available for CP/M and Martin has now created a version for later versions of MFX as described on the MFX CP/M 3 page.
