Robert Branton
Robert Branton left the Company during the
troubles that signalled the
end for Memotech in 1985. He "went on to found Lazy Summer
Books, a kids’ publishing endeavour. He has continued to work on
software, developing dictionary management code for many of the
big names in dictionary publishing. He’s now director of systems
a self-publishing site

"After studying at the Computing Laboratory
in Oxford, Robert co-founded Memotech Ltd and was a director of
Lazy Summer Books Ltd, the publishing and design company. He
worked with the Compulexis consultancy which advised on the
production of dictionaries and reference books as well as
producing associated software used by
Oxford University Press,
Chambers,
Santillana,
Liber Norstedts and
Holt-Saunders. Robert subsequently spent several years
working as an analyst for the
Office for Criminal Justice Reform and also created the
Art Circus website
which supports and promotes the work of inspirational artists
and illustrators.
